Write Protect Your Pen Drive.

Many times it becomes necessary to write protect a Pen Drive to protect it from viruses and other malware programs.

You can do this after learning the following trick.

STEP-1 Open Run by pressing the "Windows key+R" and type "regedit" and hit enter.

STEP-2 Navigate the following Registry Key:

HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\

STEP-3 Create a New Key named as storage Device Policies.

To do this, right-click on "control", again click on New -> Key and name it as storage Device Policies.

STEP-4 Now right-click on storage Device Policies and create a New->DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it as Write Protect.

STEP-5 Double-click on WriteProtect and set Value data to 1. Now write-protection for USB drives is enabled on your computer. To revert and remove the write-protect (STEP-5) from 1 back to 0. Now write access to all the USB devices is re-enabled.

Enjoyy....
